The fire started around 3 p.m., prompting firefighters to rush to the scene, where they deployed a water jet and a breathing apparatus team to bring the flames under control.
Sadly, 20 dogs and four cats were confirmed dead at the site, while 34 dogs survived the fire. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Photos from the scene show the intense rescue operation, with firefighters pulling out large groups of pets—many in critical condition. Rescuers knelt on the ground, trying to revive the distressed pets, but despite their best attempts, not all could be saved.
