This Privacy Policy governs the use of the services provided by Pawship Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Pawship Ltd,” “Pawship,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through various electronic platforms, including but not limited to the Pawship mobile application (the “Product”). The Product and the services offered and/or provided through it shall collectively be referred to as the “Services.” By using the Services in any manner (whether as a registered user or otherwise), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms stated in this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy, without notice, at any time, and such changes shall become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Services after any modifications to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. Pawship is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled securely and responsibly. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information. 

Information we collect 

When using the Services, you may be asked to provide or voluntarily disclose personal information or data. This information is necessary for us to offer various features and services available on the Product. Providing personal data is optional; however, failure to do so may limit your ability to access certain features or Services on the Product. 

The types of information and data we may collect include but are not limited to: 

• Personal Identification Information: Name, email address, profile information. 

• Location Data: If you enable location-based features, we collect real-time location information to facilitate location-based interactions. 

• User-Generated Content: Photos, posts, and other shared community updates uploaded to the Product. 

• Device & Usage Data: Information about your device, IP address, app interactions, and preferences. 

How do we use this information? 

We use the information we collect to provide, personalize, and improve our Product and Services, subject to the choices you make. Specifically, we use your information in the following ways: 

Provide, personalise and improve our Product 

We use the information we collect to: 

• Deliver and maintain the Product and its features. 

• Personalize your experience, including tailored content, suggestions, and advertisements. 

• Customize the Pawship Map based on your location, interests, and interactions. 

• Recommend relevant information, groups, events, or topics that may interest you. 

To create a personalized experience, we analyze: 

• Your connections, preferences, and interactions within the app. 

• Your activity and engagement with the Product and its features. 

Location-related information 

We use location-related information – such as your current location, the places you like to go, and the businesses and people you’re near – to provide, personalise and improve our Product. Location-related information can be based on things such as precise device location (if you’ve allowed us to collect it) , IP addresses. 

Product research and development 

We use the information we have to develop, test and improve our Product, including by conducting surveys and research, and testing and troubleshooting new products and features. 

Promoting safety, integrity and security 

We use the information that we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct, detect and prevent spam and other bad experiences, maintain the integrity of our Product, and promote safety and security on our Product. For example, we use data that we have to investigate suspicious activity or violations of our Terms or Policies. 

Communicate with you 

We use the information that we have to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Product and let you know about our Policies and Terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us. 

Disclosure or Transfer of Data 

Business Transfers 

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, we may transfer your information to another company. If such a transfer occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. 

No Unauthorised Sale of Data 

We do not sell, rent, or trade your Personal Data to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. 

Legal Requirements and Protection 

We reserve the right to disclose your Personal Data if required by law or if we believe that such disclosure is necessary to: 

• Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or legal process served on Pawship. 

• Protect and defend our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users and affiliates. 

Sharing with Affiliates and Partners 

We may share your Personal Data and Traffic Data with: 

• Affiliates and Partners who assist us in providing core services, such as: 

• Business consulting and continuity planning 

• Marketing and promotional activities 

• Data analytics and processing 

• Hosting, storage, and security services 

• Third parties that help make certain Services available to users. 

All such parties are contractually required to uphold comparable security and confidentiality standards as outlined in this Privacy Policy. 

Partner Marketing Use 

With our prior written consent, our Partners may use your information for their own marketing or promotional efforts. Any such use must comply with all applicable local laws and regulations. 

Managing and Deleting Your Information 

We provide you with the ability to access, rectify, port and delete your data.  

Data Retention 

We store your data only as long as necessary to provide our Services and Pawship Product, or until your account is deleted—whichever comes first. The retention period depends on factors such as: 

• The nature of the data. 

• The reason for its collection and processing. 

• Legal and operational retention requirements. 

Account Deletion 

When you delete your account, we will: 

• Permanently delete your posts, photos, and status updates associated with your account. 

• Prevent recovery of this deleted information. 

However, please note information shared by others about you is not considered part of your account and will not be deleted. 

If you wish to delete your account and all information related to such account, you can issue a request by emailing to candice.chan@pawship.com. We will verify your identity before responding to such request. 

Changes in privacy policy 

We reserve the right to update, revise, modify or amend this policy at any time as we think necessary and you are strongly recommended to review this policy regularly. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by reasonable means.
